On February 27, 2026, the CIME Program took part in the Canadian Activity-Based Therapy (ABT) Expo, a national event dedicated to rehabilitation approaches for individuals living with spinal cord injury. Supported by the Praxis Spinal Cord Institute, this event reflects the ongoing advancements of the ABT community of practice in Canada.
The CIME team delivered two presentations to an audience of approximately 75 participants, generating numerous questions and engaging discussions.
Sujata Sinha presented a study examining the feasibility of combining activity-based therapy with transcutaneous spinal cord stimulation to support upper limb rehabilitation during the sub-acute phase.
Dorothy Barthelemy, in turn, provided an overview of the CIME Program, which integrates neuromodulation and activity-based therapy. Her presentation highlighted in particular the outcomes of a project focused on lower limb rehabilitation.
This participation highlights the strong visibility of the CIME Program and its continued commitment to advancing rehabilitation practices for individuals living with spinal cord injury.
