A team training session on suicide prevention, offered by the ENA, was recently completed by members of the CIME program team. The activity brought together 14 participants online and 12 participants in person.
The training was followed by an enriching discussion facilitated through the contributions of Nancy Dubé, occupational therapist, and Véronique Girodias, psychologist. The exchange allowed the team to reflect on several challenges encountered by CIME program staff in their clinical and research practice.
In particular, the discussion highlighted issues related to the participant–intervenor relationship, as well as strategies to better support individuals in vulnerable situations.
