We would like to warmly congratulate Sujata Sinha, a postdoctoral fellow working on the Upper Limb project, for her participation in the conference of the American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA), held in San Antonio, Texas.
In addition to winning first place in the international ASIA Data Challenge with her team, Sujata also presented preliminary findings from the CIME – Living Lab project. This work focuses on the subacute phase following spinal cord injury, a period that remains understudied despite its high potential for neuroplasticity. In addition, she had the opportunity to present the same work at the Canadian Association for Neuromodulation (CAN) Conference.
These research efforts contribute to a better understanding of recovery mechanisms following spinal cord injury and support the development of rehabilitation approaches better adapted to the needs of individuals living with SCI.
This recognition and international visibility represent an important achievement for the CIME program and for the work carried out by our research team.
