Andrea Moreault and Nancy Dubé, clinicians from the LM program at the IRGLM provided wheelchair transfer training to 12 members of the CIME research team. This hands-on session allowed participants to learn safe techniques for assisting users during transfers. These skills will be highly valuable for CIME staff during therapy sessions, ensuring both the safety and comfort of participants.

The CIME program offers research projects designed to evaluate the impact of innovative therapies combining best clinical practices in rehabilitation with neuromodulation—that is, electrical or magnetic stimulation applied to nerves, the brain, or the spinal cord to modify the activity of the nervous system.
The research team comprises researchers, students, clinicians, and patient partners, and brings together clinical expertise in neuromodulation and implantation science, all necessary for the implementation of the proposed projects.
